Library/Museum
 
The White Hall Library is the largest branch library of the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System, and is located at 300 Anderson Road. The White Hall Library offers a collection of over 30,000 books, videos and books on cassette which can be checked out, and access to over 150,000 items throughout the Library System. The Library has computers offering a variety of databases, word processing, educational programs, and access to the Internet. The Library offers basic photocopy and fax services. For more information, visit the Library at www.pbjclibrary.org. The White Hall Museum is located in the home of the late Carl B. Carter at 9009 Dollarway Road. Founded in 1990, the museum houses a collection of dolls, children’s toys, musical instruments, a variety of antiques, old vintage photographs, political campaign buttons, military memorabilia, a Cotton Belt railroad caboose, a log smokehouse, and a 1942 LaFrance – the first fire truck of the White Hall Fire Department. The museum is open from 1-4 p.m., Thursday - Saturday. For more information, call 247-9406.


Churches
 
The community is full of residents from a variety of religious beliefs. Churches located within or near White Hall include: Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church, Claud Road Baptist Church, Family Church, First Baptist Church of White Hall, Hardin Baptist Church, Lemonwood Missionary Baptist Church, New Harvest Church of God, Northside Baptist Church, Oak Grove Baptist Church, Oakland Heights Missionary Baptist, Peace Tabernacle United Pentecostal, Robin Street Missionary Baptist Church, Truth Temple Holiness, White Hall Church of Christ, White Hall First Assembly of God, and White Hall United Methodist Church. Other major religious denominations within fifteen minutes of White Hall include Catholic, Episcopalian, Latter-day Saints, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and Seventh-day Adventist.


Civic Groups
 
White Hall was honored as a Volunteer Community in Arkansas. Citizens volunteer in the schools, and belong to civic groups throughout Jefferson County. White Hall hosts the following civic organizations: White Hall Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Jaycees, Herb and Garden Club, Moms in Touch International, White Hall Willing Workers, Beta Sigma Phi, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS), White Hall Saddle Club, Fiddlers Association, Friends of the White Hall Library, and Friends of the White Hall Museum.


Recreational Opportunities
 
Many diverse opportunities for hunting, fishing, and boating in the Arkansas River and the many area lakes and streams. White Hall City Park offers a walking trail, baseball fields, and a tennis court.


Schools
 
The White Hall School District headquarters are in White Hall, along with the following schools: White Hall High School, White Hall Junior High, Gandy Elementary, Taylor Elementary, and Moody Elementary. Peace Tabernacle is a private school which is also located in White Hall, and other private schools are offered within a 15 minute drive. Check out more information about our schools.


Youth Groups and Activities
 
There is plenty to keep the younger generation busy in White Hall. There are local Boy Scout, Cub Scout, Girl Scout, Brownies, and 4-H Clubs available to join. Sports in White Hall are fun and plentiful, with Little League, Jr. Babe Ruth, Girls Softball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Soccer, and Football leagues. City park is abundant with playgrounds, picnic tables with barbeque pits, a tennis court, and a walking trail. Other picnic and playground activities are available at the museum. Every Tuesday is Storytime at the White Hall Library, for kids under 12 years old.


Veterans Groups
 
White Hall is a patriotic City, as shown by the numerous flags which fly on the Fourth of July, Flag Day, and other holidays. Three Veterans Groups have been organized in the community, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and a Viet Nam Veterans group. Currently these organization are spearheading the creation of the White Hall Veteran’s Monument, which will be located on the Museum grounds.


Area Attractions
 
Located 32 miles south of the State Capitol, Little Rock, and 8 miles north of Pine Bluff, White Hall offers a variety of attractions nearby, most within an hour drive. In Pine Bluff, one can visit the Arts and Science Center, attend a concert, the Pine Bluff Symphony, a Sports Event or just visit the Entertainers Hall of Fame at the convention center. Play golf at Harbor Oaks, or enjoy Regional Park. Visit the Jefferson County Historical Museum, Band Museum, or the Arkansas Railroad Museum.

  In the Little Rock area you can attend concerts, the ballot, the symphony, or many sporting events such as Arena Football, Hockey, a Razorback game at War Memorial Stadium, or go to a Travelers Baseball game. Other attractions include: Central High Museum and Visitor Center, Children's Museum of Arkansas, IMAX Theatre, Little Rock Zoo, MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, Museum of Discovery, the Old State House Museum, University of Arkansas at Little Rock Planetarium, Wild River Country water park, and Willow Springs water park.

  There are numerous National and State Parks and attractions. Within a hour one can travel to Toltec Mounds, Pinnacle Mountain, or the Arkansas Territorial Restoration. Within two hours one can travel to Hot Springs National Park, Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas Post, or Crater of Diamonds State Park.
